Sirasangi is a famous pilgrimage centre of the Vishwakarma community. The Kalamma Temple and surrounding caves are notable attractions. It is regarded as a Shakti Peetha and is about 20 km from Saundatti. Inscriptions dated 1148 and 1186 refer to the place by names such as Rishishringipura, Pirishingi and Hirishingi. The temple is managed by its trust and attracts large numbers of pilgrims and tourists visiting Saundatti.
