Situated about 75 km from the district headquarters and 14 km from Saundatti taluk headquarters on the bank of the Malaprabha River, this temple is very famous. It is believed that many sages lived here. The temple complex includes Banashankari, Three Lingas, Tarakeshwar, Mallikarjuna, Renuka and Rudramunishwar temples.
