Kamal Basadi, also known as Sri Neminatha Tirthankara Basadi, was constructed in 1204 AD by Bichchiraja, the Mahamantri of Ratta King Kartavirya IV, after being influenced by Sri Shubhachandrabhattaaraka Deva. It is called Kamal Basadi because the ceiling of the Rangamandapa is decorated with lotus petals. The site belongs to the Ratta period and is presently under the care of the Central Archaeological Department. Hundreds of tourists visit the site every day.
